Gibran (Kahlil) is born in Boston.

November 29, 1922

The son of Lebanese immigrants and cousin, godson, and namesake of the poet, Kahlil Gibran is born on Ping On Alley (then Oliver Place), moves to Harrison Avenue in 1929, attends the Tyler, Quincy, and Lincoln schools, and graduates from English High School and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. He marries Jean English in 1957, moves first to Fayette Street and then to West Canton Street in 1964. Gibran dies in 2008.
